EXPLORER SCOUTS

The Explorer Unit meets on Friday evenings, often in conjunction with the Scout Troop. Boys and girls can become a Explorer Scout from the age of fifteen and a half. The Explorer Unit has mixed membership with most of the girls coming from Bournemouth School for Girls or Talbot Heath School.

The Explorer Unit is smaller than the Scout Troop which, coupled with the more adult nature of its members, means that more adventurous activities and expeditions can be undertaken.

As a School Explorer Unit we keep an eye open for boys joining our Sixth Form who may have given up Scouting when the pressures of GCSE caused problems.
