OPERATION QUICKSTART

About half our new members have had no previous experience as a Scout or Cub Scout.

The others have often failed to move from Cubs to Scouts and are looking for a new start.

Some transfer from other Troops because they want to try Sea Scouting.

OPERATION QUICKSTART is our scheme whereby boys selected to join the School in September each year can take part in our Scout Activities as soon as they have been accepted by the School. This is usually around Easter Time.

During the Summer Term they will have a chance to try boating and canoeing, to take part in our Summer Term Field Day (provided they can persuade their present school's head!) and perhaps even take part in our Summer Camp or Expedition.

More importantly they will arrive at Bournemouth School in September knowing that there will be at least a few familiar faces to help them.
